Mmm Bop

Been busy lately, so I haven't had the chance to post anything for the past week or so. Melodies For Uncertain Robots is about to drop (Nov. 2 @ Headliners), and Paradigm has been busy putting together promotion, talking with record labels and distributors, and generally getting the hype machine up and running. If you'd like to help in any way, please sign up for the street team.

Meanwhile, I saw somewhere that Hanson (remember Hanson?) is playing at Coyote's in October. If you're like me, you're pretty surprised to hear that they're even still around. Out of curiosity, I looked them up on Myspace to see what they sound like these days. According to their bio, it seems that they're doing the independent thing, not wanting to be major label puppets. It sounds good in theory, but after clicking on one of their tunes to give it a listen, I found that their new stuff sounds like the same major label, corporate whore rubbish I remember hearing years ago when they were popular. It's kind of a shame, like an agoraphobic breaking out of prison. Sure, now they're technically "free," but they're too scared to leave the house, if that makes any sense. In other words, now that they can do "whatever they want," they've decided that what they really want to do is continue making shitty music. So I guess the music update of the day is this: Hanson still sucks.
