Lexington and Carbondale

It's easy to fall into old familiar patterns, which is why it's important to perform in front of new audiences as much as possible. An unspoken, subconscious relationship of expectation can develop between a band and an audience, and pretty soon, everything begins to feel like "going through the motions" for all involved. However, a song you've played a thousand times can take on new energy when it's performed in front of a new set of listeners simply because they've never heard it before. It's like buying a used car; it may have 70,000 miles on it, but it's still new to you. That lack of expectation breathes new life into old songs, which can lead to inspiration. Long story short, we had a great time in both Lexington and Carbondale this weekend. Thanks especially to Lindsey in Carbondale for making us feel at home, and for generally being awesome. Setlists:
